We are looking for a operations manager / accountant assistant

The Non-Governmental Union «Foundation for Support of Reforms in Ukraine» (NGU «FSRU») is an independent non-governmental union founded in 2015. The primary goal is to promote the development of Ukraine and increase the well-being of its citizens by providing support in the development and implementation of reforms in Ukraine. 

The main task of the operational manager/assistant accountant: Under the direct supervision of the chief accountant of the NGU "FSRU", the assistant chief accountant/operational manager supports the Fund in implementing projects financed by international sponsors and individual Ukrainian and foreign organizations. The position requires effective, highly competent project support in a person-oriented environment fostering positive relationships. 

The primary functional duties of the operational manager/ assistant accountant:

Assistance to the chief accountant, including: 

  • participation in the preparation of project reporting and tax reporting of the organization;

  • participation in the inventory and compilation of related documents;

  • preparation of primary documentation with executors, document management of the organization and projects, maintenance of registers;

  • control over the availability of primary documents;

  • assistance in preparing and making payments;

  • filing of primary documents in BAS. 

Operational and administrative support of the organization's projects: management of general project operations, including financial, administrative, logistics and procurement operations: 

  • ensuring compliance of projects with procedures, rules and regulations;

  • control over the use of project budgets;

  • provision of timely reporting following project requirements;

  • management of payments to suppliers and control of availability of supporting documentation, including quotations in accordance with procurement procedure; 

  • regular coordination of actions with the management of the organization and timely provision of updates on matters of finance and operations; 

  • provision of informational and advisory support to project coordinators and executors regarding calculations and preparation of financial documents and other project activities;

  • assistance in preparing for project audits (special audit);

  • management of internal and external document circulation of the project. 

Coordination of the purchase of equipment and the distribution of information and other materials for both the needs of the organization and projects. Including but not limited to the selection of goods, specifications, preparation and placement of announcements on the organization's website and other information resources, preparation of contracts and communication with suppliers.   

Requirements for candidates:

  • higher education; 

  • 2 years of experience in the public sector, including working with donors (preferred); 

  • good analytical, organizational and communication skills; 

  • knowledge of the basics of business administration; 

  • good interpersonal skills, including good coordination and effective communication with stakeholders; 

  • knowledge of the English language at a level not lower than the Intermediate level; 

  • excellent work skills in office computer programs. 

The position involves full or part-time employment. Depending on work experience, the organization may consider candidates with the ability to work remotely. Employment conditions and salary will be discussed at the interview.
