The NGO «Foundation for Support of Reforms in Ukraine» announces a competition for the vacancy of a translator for the project «TIPSTER: Trade, Intellectual Property Support and Technical Regulation».
The project is being implemented by the NGO «Foundation for Support of Reforms in Ukraine» within the international cooperation project ReACT4UA («Utilization and Implementation of the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine in the field of trade»), that is financed by the German Government and implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The objective of the Project is to assist Ukrainian SMEs to improve their potential for exporting goods and services by elaboration of national export policy in close cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and other governmental and non-governmental organizations to boost Ukrainian export and strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in foreign markets.
Main tasks:
- language for translation: Ukrainian - English, English - Ukrainian.
- written translations of documents (including legal documents) on issues of legislation in the field of technical regulation, IP and export (e.g., free trade agreements), documents on issues of legislation in the field of market surveillance;
- assistance in the preparation of written translations of strategic documents;
- translation of other materials, as well as assistance with interpretation during online meetings.
Type of employment: part-time at the request of the project team.
Mandatory requirements:
- higher education (law degree is preferred);
- translation experience in the field of technical regulation and market surveillance (translation experience in the field of IP will be an additional advantage);
- fluency in Ukrainian and English.
