INTERNATIONAL FORUM “QUALITY INFRASTRUCTURE OF UKRAINE – A PLATFORM FOR BUSINESS INTERACTION IN THE EU SINGLE MARKET SYSTEM”

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine invites to participate in the International Forum “Quality infrastructure of Ukraine – a platform for business interaction in the EU single market system”. The Forum is organised at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and  within the support of the TIPSTER Project of the Foundation for Support of Reforms in Ukraine and of the ReACT4UA international cooperation programme (“Application and implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in the field of trade”), funded by the German government and implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

Main aim: to raise business awareness of Ukraine’s quality infrastructure system, the current state of legal regulation of market surveillance and consumer rights protection, the benefits of the ACAA Agreement in the context of increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, entry of domestic products into the European market and recovery of Ukraine’s economy; as well to to provide a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises to find partners among European industrial producers.

Key tasks: to hear business priorities and outline ways to create a single European business environment, where each participant will have the opportunity to establish communications in order to find partners.

Three sessions:

І session: “Ukraine’s Quality Infrastructure: Readiness for the ACAA and benefits for business”;

ІІ session: “Regional centers of quality infrastructure for business: blitz presentations”;

ІІІ session: “Roundtable with business on practical aspects of “industrial visa-free” in EU–Ukraine relations”.

The Forum will help to promote information on the approximation of the national quality infrastructure to European norms and rules and the benefits of the ACAA Agreement, and participation in the Forum will be a great opportunity for businesses to raise awareness of the opportunities to trade goods without technical barriers to trade and find a platform for searching reliable partners in areas where countries have accumulated significant human and production potential.

The following representatives are invited to participate in the Forum:

  • state-owned enterprises, institutions, organisations operating in the field of technical regulation, standardisation, metrology and metrological activities,
  • manufacturers and businesses interested in the production and export of industrial products in Ukraine,
  • other stakeholders.
