Microgrants for big ideas: helping Ukrainian businesses expand their horizons and successfully integrate into the global economy!
Our goal
The project aims to provide sub-grants to Ukrainian SMEs to partially cover the costs of participating in exhibitions, trade missions, study tours to EU countries, obtaining export advice, product certification and intellectual property registration abroad.
List of expenses covered under the project:
- Participation in international fairs, exhibitions, trade missions, study tours to EU countries to raise awareness of export opportunities, international competitions in EU countries;
- Improving the business website;
- Attending export consultations and training;
- Obtaining certification for products that may be required to facilitate export activities;
- Registration and protection of intellectual property.
The SMEs were selected based on the following key criteria:
- The company is a registered business entity in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine;
- The company has up to 250 employees and annual revenue of up to $15 million;
- The ultimate beneficial owners of the company are citizens of Ukraine;
- The company is not located and does not operate in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine;
- The company does not operate in the Russian Federation and/or Belarus;
- The company is not in the process of liquidation or bankruptcy and has no tax debts.
- Eligible industries: agriculture and food, light industry; cultural and creative industries; mechanical engineering; furniture manufacturing.
The total budget for the microgrants was $100,000: these funds were distributed among 20 Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises selected from a large number of applications.
This project proves once again that Ukrainian entrepreneurs are actively looking for ways to enter the EU markets. And we are proud to support them in achieving their most ambitious goals.
