The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine invites to participate in the International Forum “Digitalization of Quality Infrastructure of Ukraine: International Experience, National Context”.
The Forum is organised at the initiative of Technical Regulation Department of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and within the support of the TIPSTER Project of the Foundation for Support of Reforms in Ukraine and of the ReACT4UA international cooperation programme (“Application and implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in the field of trade”), funded by the German government and implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

Digital transformation is playing an increasingly important role in Ukraine’s economic recovery and reforms in all areas. The development of Ukraine’s digital economy is about creating market demand and shaping the needs for business and society to use digital technologies, products and services in Ukrainian industries to ensure their efficient operation, increase competitiveness, increase manufacturing of high-tech products and improve the well-being of population. The path to the digital economy lies through the domestic market for the production, use and consumption of information and communication and digital technologies.
Digital transformation affects all aspects of life, and quality infrastructure is no exception. Digitalization is creating challenges and changes in the main components of quality infrastructure – standardization, metrology, conformity assessment, accreditation and market surveillance. Process automation, development of data science, use of cloud technologies, digital machine-readable documents play a significant role in quality infrastructure system and related services. Combining and integrating digitalization processes into quality infrastructure plays a significant role in introducing new technologies and innovations into the system, which also plays an important role in Ukraine’s preparation for EU accession, in particular, in the context of preparations for the ACAA Agreement.
Main objective: to raise awareness of the role and importance of digitalization in quality infrastructure of Ukraine, current state of digitalization of processes and services, use of digital technologies as a tool for improving the quality of services and competitiveness of domestic production, main International and European digital practices, solutions and initiatives.
Key aims: to get acquainted with main achievements, problems and challenges in the field of digitalization of quality infrastructure and to outline ways to optimize and transform the processes of providing services in the field of quality infrastructure, which will help strengthen technological potential, business competitiveness and integration into the EU single market.
The following representatives are invited to participate in the Forum:
✓ central executive authorities that perform technical regulation functions in the relevant areas of activity;
✓ state-owned enterprises, institutions, organisations operating in the field of technical regulation, standardisation, metrology and metrological activities,
manufacturers and businesses interested in the production and export of industrial products in Ukraine,
other stakeholders.
