EDGE is providing support to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine (MoF) on the reform of the State Fiscal Service (SFS) in order to strengthen the SFS institutional framework and governance, build SFS internal capacity, restructure tax and customs processes and thus create a modern SFS that is service-oriented, supports economic growth, ensures fair revenue administration and customs security of the country, and enjoys a high degree of public trust.
Customs Expert will participate in harmonizing the Ukrainian Customs legislation with the EU legislation, and in structuring and implementation of revised customs processes to ensure better customs services for business and citizens. In particular, the expert will work on drafting the new Customs Code, supporting CMU approval of the Customs reform Action Plan, implementation of the Single Window approach and Single Account for customs payments, implementation of Authorized Economic Operators and the New Computerized Transit System.
